To maximize the use of SDX X-ray sources, some customers have opted to install these units in a pass-through configuration between adjacent operatories. In this configuration, the SDX X-ray source is shared between the operatories as needed, or stored in special cabinetry when not in use.
The SDX system is designed to accomodate this installation option for CDR standard and wireless Sensors. Customers interested in using this configuration, however, may wish to contact Product Support for additional information as an A/B switch with dual RJ-45 ports is recommended.
Installation Requirements
To install the SDX Update for Pass-Through 2, CDR DICOM 3.5 Service Release 1 must be installed. If you have already installed SR-1, your system is ready for the SDX Update for Pass-Through 2.
Reason for this Update
This update provides full support for the SDX X-ray system in the pass-through configuration. It can be installed over any previous pass-through update and also resolves any reported issues regarding this option.
You will need a zip utility to install the update on your system. If you haven't installed one already, download pkunzip.exe.
